This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday and I am 100% certain I will be watching Law and Order: SVU reruns. Although, I enjoy watching football I didn’t watch one game all season so prevent myself from feeling fraudulent I will opt out. Who knows that may change but I doubt it. This doesn’t mean I cannot enjoy some goodies on Sunday. Snacks are one of our unalienable rights. Life, “Liberty and the Pursuit of
Snacks Happiness.” – Thomas Jefferson. While roaming around the mean streets of the internet I found these treats that you will find useful well after kickoff.
Nachos are always a crowd pleaser. Nobody could accuse this recipe from The Pioneer Woman of being skimpy on the toppings. Check it out here.
When I saw these Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers I knew it would be the beginning of a long lasting love affair. Bacon wrapped anything is always a win. Bacon wrapped bacon is particularly my favorite. Worth The Mess brings it with this multi textured delight. Get the recipe *Note* Once 99% baked you can put it in your broiler on low for 1-2 minutes to give it a more grilled taste.
*Note* I would add cumin and maybe some green onions to the cream cheese just for a little bit extra.
Courtesy of Food Network this mouthwatering bowl of spicy chili has warm notes guaranteed to be a hit this Sunday…or any other day. Couple this with cornbread and this treat just became a hearty meal.
WINGS! So many wings so little time buffalo, fried, jerk, baked, grilled. one million marinades to choose but I settled on something a little less traditional for Sunday, Korean Fried BBQ wings from the nice folk at The Kitchn.
Now you need something to wash down all these goodies. I don’t like beer but I love those Lime-A-Ritas from Bud Light. Not sure what it is supposed to be but it is tasty. So if you can’t get jiggy with beer but don’t want to be a square during the festivities, try this beer with a berry berry nice twist. Strawberry Beer Lemonade.
Here are some cool designer helmets from various brands I found while around the city.
