Sherwin-Williams: Colormix Forecast 2019 Palettes

Some colors recall the past and some take you to places you have never been before. Color is such a beautiful thing because it can completely transform a place and a person. Calming color palettes are a big trend right now.  Recently, I’ve observed decor brands selecting more “earthy” tones and I believe it is an attempt to mentally soothe their customers. In this stressful intense society we live in it is very much appreciated. Here is a introduction to the six palettes of 2019 for Sherwin Williams.

Shapeshifter

Wisps of color, grounded by deep, dark blues, capture the unique space between technology and the visions that inspire it.

INFLUENCES: Rings of Saturn | Artificial Intelligence | Space tourism | Healing Energy

Wanderer

This palette can be seen in the baked clay canyons, worn leather and woven wool blankets of the true New West.

INFLUENCES: Carefree Bohemian | The High Plains | Unbridled Adventure | Southwestern Twist

This palette also includes Sherwin Williams 2019 color of the year Cavern Clay.

Aficionado

With copper and gold anchored by merlot and gray, these tailored tones make everything feel tasteful and elegant.

INFLUENCES: Reading Nooks | British Accents | Tweedy Menswear | ’60s Nostalgia

Enthusiast

Create rooms that burst with beauty using these bold pops of vivid color, maximum impact and lots of energy.

INFLUENCES: Maximalism | Cozy Chaos | Over-the-Top Opulence | More is More

Oceanside was the Sherwin Williams color of the year 2018 and the color of my bedroom accent wall. 🙂

Naturalist

With roots in the forest, this palette ranges from mushroom brown to leafy green to passionate, floral pink.

INFLUENCES: Forest Mushrooms | Botanical Prints | Butterfly Collections | Terrariums

Raconteur

These rich, desert-inspired hues remind us how we’re all connected by the ancient art of storytelling.

INFLUENCES: Desert Oases | Global Style | Luxury Safaris | Spice Markets

What do you think of these palettes? I am digging them all but I am a mix between Enthusiast and Naturalist at the same time. Is that an oxymoron? Let me know.
