Easy Winter Face Care

Grocery Store Face Oil

This easy oil is an inexpensive way to maintain facial moisture. Sunflower Oil provides a vitamin E and fatty acid rich base for this moisturizer without breaking the bank.  And all of the ingredients can be found in your local grocery store.


  • 1 ounce Sunflower Oil
  • .5 ounces Canola (Rapeseed) Oil
  • .5 ounces Soybean Oil


Blend oils in a clean glass container.  Apply three to five drops on face as needed. Store in a refrigerator up to six months. 



Banana Honey Oatmeal Mask

Bananas, oatmeal, and honey provide  a vitamin C and anti-oxidant  rich moisturizing mask for supple skin and youthful glow:


  • 1 Banana,very ripe and preferably with a few spots
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Ground Oats or Colloidal Oatmeal


Mash the banana until it reaches a creamy consistency with as few lumps as possible. Stir in the honey and oats.  Gently massage the mixture over your face and let sit for 20 minutes.  Rinse with lukewarm water .
