Have you been watching  “The New Edition Story” if you haven’t you are missing out. Tonight is the conclusion of the long anticipated 3-night miniseries. There is no better way to enjoy the rise of a music group like some snacks! Cucumber yogurt sauce aka Tzatziki sauce) is ver versatile and can be used of gyros, any other Mediterranean inspired meal or a nice dip for The Big Game.  Since we are in a 90s kind of mood  it is only appropriate that it is named “Cool It Now,” a hit song by the legendary R&B group.

Pinterest Cucumber Yogurt SauceINGREDIENTS:

  • 2 medium cloves garlic (Chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1 medium cucumber peeled and diced
  • 1 cup 2% Plain Greek Yogurt or Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper. 
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 mintues for flavors to blend. Serve as dip with pita bread and fresh vegetables or as sauce for grilled lamb, chicken, beef or vegetables.
