A.V. Visits The Food Network Show “The Kitchen” and Gets Delicious Recipes

Recently I had the pleasure of attending a taping of  The Food Network show, The Kitchen. One of my favorite shows by the way. I met the awesome cast, learned some great kitchen tips and ate well. The one of the coolest moments was meeting the guest Kardea Brown of Kardea’s Kuisine. Kardea is a contemporary Gullah Geechee cook/food blogger. She breathes new life into traditional dishes by remixing them with various spices and herbs. Kardea has a “pop up” supper club where she travels from city to city preparing mouth watering meals for her loyal fans. On the show she showed us how to make a Crockpot Approved Curry Coconut Chickpea Soup that was not only vegan but delicious! You have to wait until tomorrow, Saturday 16th at 11am (EST) when her episode premieres to see how to make it but I have some other goodies for you in the meanwhile but first take a look at my pictures from the show.
Behind The Stage.
This is what happens when you opt to not take a selfie, blurry pics. Jeff Mauro and I, his energy is amazing.
Cast member Sunny Anderson and I. She is so awesome I love her.
Just some of the yumminess they served behind the scenes.

Now I am aware I mentioned earlier that I would give you guys some goodies, well here it goes!  I spoke to Kardea and she gave me her signature Charleston Shrimp and Grits recipe. I plan on making this ASAP.
